ITT Exelis of the United States and India's Tata Advanced Systems (TAS) have formed what they described as a strategic alliance to support requirements for third-generation night-vision equipment in the Indian market.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on 29 March at the Defexpo 2012 event in New Delhi.
Under the terms of the agreement, ITT Exelis will supply TAS - a division of Tata Sons - with vision intensifier tubes and related materials to carry out local production of night-vision systems
