Larsen & Toubro and Samsung Techwin to launch joint bid for India's delayed 155 mm 55-calibre tracked howitzer programme

India's Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Samsung Techwin from South Korea announced on 29 March their intention to jointly bid for the delayed Indian Army programme to acquire 155 mm 52-calibre tracked howitzers.

An L&T statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange said the teaming arrangement will focus on L&T - as prime contractor - building under licence the Samsung Techwin-designed K9 Thunder 155 mm self-propelled gun (SPG)
