Pakistan Navy’s ‘Azmat’ speedboat makes first visit to Shanghai


The “Azmat” guided missile speedboat of the Pakistan Navy sailed slowly into the Yangtze River Port of the Navy of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) under the command of Ahmed Husain, captain of the speedboat, on the morning of May 2, 2012 for a two-day-long friendly visit to Shanghai.
 


During the visit to Shanghai, Wei Xiaodong, chief of staff of a maritime garrison under the East China Sea Fleet of the PLA Navy, met with Ahmed Husain and his party and held a welcoming dinner for them. The Pakistani speedboat was replenished with fuel, water and materials, and the Pakistani officers and men visited major scenic spots of Shanghai including the Oriental Pearl Tower in batches.
