The Qatar Emiri Naval Forces (QENF) is planning to establish a new naval base as the service procures more capable vessels and expands its personnel strength.
To be built on reclaimed land south of Doha, the base will cover an area of approximately 4.5 km 2 and is expected to be completed by 2016, project director Makor Saleh a-Saei told IHS Jane's
