Moscow plans to boost arms sales abroad

Russia sold USD13.2 billion worth of weaponry to foreign customers in 2011, Mikhail Dmitriyev, head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Co-operation, announced on 15 February. Combat aircraft accounted for 50 per cent of exports, with ground forces equipment responsible for 25 per cent, naval equipment 11 per cent and air defence systems 10 per cent, Dmitriyev said
